<br />~6 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 8, 1983 <br /> <br />Where two buildings or rooms are located on the same twenty feet of <br />frontage, each shall have a separate number. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-29. Same-In residence and industrial districts. <br /> <br />In residential and industrial districts, comprising all of the city <br />outside of business districts, from the corner of each block next to <br />its respective base line, each sixty (60) feet of frontage shall be <br />given a number, except that, where lots are less than sixty (60) feet, <br />such lots shall be numbered to conform with the size of the lot, and/or <br />to conform to the approved subdivision of lots. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-30. Designation of streets. <br /> <br />All lots, parts of lots, houses and places of business located on those <br />portions of any street extending north and south and being north of the <br />base line shall be known and designated as north, and all south of the <br />base line shall be designated and known as south, and all located on all <br />those portions of any street extending east and west and being east of <br />the base line shall be known and designated as east, and all west of the <br />base line shall be known and designated as west. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-31. Plan of numbering. <br /> <br />On all streets the numbers shall run in consecutive order alternating <br />from side-to-side. The odd numbers shall be on the left-hand side of <br />the street when going away from the base lines. <br /> <br />The numbers shall run one hundred to each block as designated on the <br />Key Map on file in the office of the department of public works. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-32. Question as to proper number. <br /> <br />In case of doubt, or where a question arises as to the proper number <br />to be assigned to any lot or building, the director of public works <br />shall decide the question and fix the number of such lot or building. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-33. Each building to have number. <br /> <br />All buildings erected or fronting on any street or alley shall have <br />conspicuously placed on such buildings or at such location designated <br />by the building official the number provided for by this article. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-34. Display of numbers. <br /> <br />The number plate placed upon any building or erected upon the property <br />upon which the building is situated shall be metal or other material <br />approved by the building official or, where impractical, the number <br />may be painted on the front of the building, door or transom. The <br />numbers shall be at least three inches in height so as to be easily <br />seen from the street. <br />
