<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville,
<br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-eighth day of
<br />May, 1985, that the following sums of money be and hereby are
<br />appropriated--by funds--for the City's fiscal year ending June
<br />30, 1986, from the following fund sources of estimated revenue:

<br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency exist-
<br />ing, this ordinance shall be in force on and after July 1, 1985.

<br />Pursuant to duly published public notice, Council conducted a public
<br />
<br />hearing for the purpose of considering a request by the Patrick Henry Drug
<br />
<br />& Alcohol Council to rezone 817 Starling Avenue from "R-6 Residential" to
<br />
<br />hearing was declared closed.
<br />
<br />"P-2 Professional". There being no comments from the public, the public
<br />
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams,
<br />
<br />seconded by Vice-Mayor Severt, to accept the Planning Commission's
<br />
<br />recommendation to approve the rezoning request. The motion was passed on
<br />
<br />a four to one vote (Councilman Oakes voting against the motion).
