<br />74 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1986 <br /> <br />Sec. 5-37. Limitation of dogs in residential or <br />professional zones. <br /> <br />No person, family or other group of persons occupying the <br />same premises shall keep more than four (4) dogs upon said <br />premises, whether said premises shall consist of only one <br />lot or parcel of land, or of two (2) or more adjoining lots <br />or parcels of land, in any residential or professional area <br />of the city, provided that any such person, family or other <br />group of persons occupying the same premises may keep more <br />than four (4), but not more than six (6) dogs, upon said <br />premises, if the dogs are kept entirely within an enclosed <br />building between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and <br />if said enclosed building is located at least fifty (50) <br />feet away from any other person's residence at all times. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-55. Applications and licensing of dogs; applicant <br />must be city resident. <br /> <br />(d) Upon receipt of a proper application, certificate of <br />vaccination, and required license taxes, the treasurer <br />shall issue a license receipt for the amount paid on which <br />he shall record the name and address of the owner or cus- <br />todian, the date of payment, the year for which issued, the <br />serial number of the tag, whether male, female, unsexed <br />dog, and he shall deliver the metal license tags or plates <br />to the owner or custodian. <br /> <br />With regard to recent amendments proposed to Section 5-39 of the City Code, <br /> <br />Council was informed that these are yet under study. <br /> <br />Council accepted for introduction and for further consideration and/or final <br /> <br />action at its forthcoming September 25th meeting Ordinance No. 86-7 which, if <br /> <br />adopted, will amend Section 24-5 of the City Code to allow high school ROTC <br /> <br />students to conduct marksmanship and firearms training, now otherwise pro- <br /> <br />hibited within the City. <br /> <br />Upon being informed that no litigation is noW pending against the City or the <br /> <br />City's Planning Commission regarding the proposed extension of Lanier Road and <br /> <br />the development of said extension under terms of the City's Subdivision <br />
