<br />34~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 12, 1986 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />30, 1986) by and between Bob White's Chevyland, Dorn-Will Development Corpo- <br />ration, and the City of Martinsville, by which the City subordinates its option <br />to Dorn-Will Development Corporation until the 40th day following July 8, 1986 <br />(at 5:00 P.M.), provided that Dorn-Will has filed its application for a certi- <br />ficate of need (approval) to allow Dorn-Will to construct a nursing home <br />facility on said property, with a target date of July 30, 1987, being estab- <br />lished for the commencement of construction of said facility. Said option <br />agreement further provides that, should Dorn-Will fail to meet these require- <br />ments or conditions, the City shall have the right to purchase the property <br />from Dorn-Will for the sum of $117,500.00, plus recording and legal fees. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council acknowledged "with thanks" a Personnel Office Report for the fiscal <br /> <br />year ended June 30, 1986, as prepared by J. Michael Grubbs, Assistant to the <br /> <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />Council also acknowledged receipt of a notice that the Pittsylvania County <br /> <br />Community Action Agency has established a "satellite" community action office <br /> <br />in Martinsville, at 30 Fayette Street. <br /> <br />And, Council acknowledged receipt of a report entitled, "Urban System <br /> <br />Construction Program", fiscal years 1987 through 1992, reflecting allocations <br /> <br /> <br />for and costs of various street-highway improvement projects both in <br />Martinsville and in southwestern Virginia cities, with City Manager Brown <br />indicating that quite likely the City's "Spruce Street Project" will be <br /> <br />accelerated somewhat over the schedule shown in the Six-year program. <br />
