<br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 28, 1986 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />in regular meeting assembled, that the Zoning Map of the City of <br />Martinsville be--and it is hereby--amended to the extent that Lot No. <br />9, situated at 112 Starling Avenue, is hereby rezoned from R-6 <br />Residential to P-2 Professional; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, <br />this ordinance shall be in force on and after January 29, 1986. <br /> <br />Also, pursuant to duly-published notice, Council conducted a public hearing on Mr. <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />Bob P. White's petition seeking the rezoning of an eighteen-acre tract of land situ- <br /> <br />ated on the south side of East Church Street, near Salmons Street, from R-9 Residential <br /> <br />to R-6 Residential and, too, on Mr. White's application for a Special-Use Permit to <br /> <br />allow for the development and operation of an eighty-six unit mobile home court on said <br /> <br />tract. After Mr. White, in person, outlined certain procedures and/or regulations he <br /> <br />will apply to the operation of this court, and there being no objections thereto regis- <br /> <br />tered by any citizen, Mayor Cole declared the public hearing closed; whereupon motion, <br /> <br />duly seconded and unanimously carried, and in acceptance of the Planning Commission's <br /> <br />recommendations on said petition and application, Council unanimously authorized the <br /> <br />issuance of the requested Special-Use Permit (with certain conditions made a part <br /> <br />thereof) and adopted the following ordinance amending the City's Zoning Map to effect <br /> <br />the requested R-6 Residential zoning: <br /> <br />,.,.....-. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia <br />in regular meeting assembled, that the Zoning Map of the City of <br />Martinsville be--and it is hereby--amended to the extent that an <br />eighteen-acre tract of land identified as Parcel 5 (as shown on <br />Section 37 of the Tax Map of the City of Martinsville) situated on <br />the south side of East Church Street, east of Salmon Street, is <br />hereby rezoned from R-9 Residential to R-6 Residential; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, <br />this ordinance shall be in force on and after January 29, 1986. <br /> <br />Council also conducted a duly-advertised public hearing on a proposal to amend the <br /> <br />City's 1985-86 budget to provide funds, as tentatively authorized by Council at its <br /> <br />... - <br /> <br />201 <br />
