<br />f'""" <br />O. <br /> <br />September 12, 2006 <br /> <br />reminded everyone of the Community Meeting for the area tonight at 7:00 p.m <br /> <br />at Fuller Memorial Baptist Church on South Askin Street. <br /> <br />The next item was discussion of was the recent facility study for the <br /> <br />Henry County-Martinsville Social Services and the Health Department. <br /> <br />Council agreed that there is still some information they would like to have <br /> <br />before making any decision on which site they will support and the Clerk was <br /> <br />directed to prepare a letter to the Chair of the Social Services Board requesting <br /> <br />the additional information. <br /> <br />Council has been asked to grant an approximate 40 foot x 60 foot <br /> <br />easement along the south side of Clearview Drive to Mid-Atlantic Broadband. <br /> <br />Wade Bartlett, Assistant City Manager, gave an overview and explained that <br /> <br />this is for the building that has been constructed to house the MINet's <br /> <br />backbone fiber optic cable and related equipment. City Attorney Eric Monday <br /> <br />indicated that we would need to advertise and have a public hearing since it <br /> <br />relates to city-owned property. The Clerk was directed to advertise and place <br /> <br />on the September 26 Council agenda for Council action. <br /> <br />Council IS also being asked to grant a sewer easement over the City's <br /> <br />Firing Range property to Blue Ridge Aquaculture. John Dyches, Water <br /> <br />Resources Director, gave an overview stating that Blue Ridge Aquaculture <br /> <br />intends to pursue the commercial growth of shrimp in addition to the tilapia <br />
