<br />-1 <br />J,,~ . wi <br /> <br />July 11, 2006 <br /> <br />Council next considered scheduling their FY07 City Council <br /> <br />Neighborhood Focus Meetings. Mayor Reynolds indicated that Council was <br /> <br />interested in going back into the communities for their focus meetings. By <br /> <br />virtue of a Council retreat scheduled in late September, they would like to visit <br /> <br />all the areas prior to the retreat. After further discussion, a consensus was <br /> <br />had for the following schedule prior to the retreat: <br /> <br />July 17, 2006 - 7:00 p.m. - Northside/Chatham Heights <br /> <br />July 31, 2006 - 7:00 p.m. - Westside <br /> <br />August 14, 2006 - 7:00 p.m. - Druid Hills/Uptown <br /> <br />The Clerk was directed to secure a location for each of the meetings and report <br /> <br />back to Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Reynolds also indicated that Council desired to tour the entire <br /> <br />City prior to their retreat and scheduled such tour for Friday, August 4, 2006 <br /> <br />from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Staff that needed to be included in the tour were <br /> <br />City Manager, Public Works Director, Director of Community Development and <br /> <br />a representative from the Police Department. The Clerk was directed to <br /> <br />arrange the transportation and report back to Council. <br /> <br />Beginning in September, Council would like to continue with their <br /> <br />quarterly neighborhood focus meeting each quarter. The Mayor indicated that <br /> <br />Council could meet prior to the regular scheduled work sessions in September, <br /> <br />December, March and June for a tour of the focus area and then return to City <br /> <br />Hall for their meeting at which time the usual report from Brenda Prillaman, <br />
