Council Member Ferrill asked if there were <br /> <br />other concerns we have such as our labor force. Mr. Heath indicated that the <br /> <br />issues we have are no different than those in other communities. Council <br /> <br />Member Clark said he would like to see a marketing strategy for the city. <br /> <br />Council Member Roop said he was glad to see a marketing plan coming forth <br /> <br />because it would be a useful tool to help answer the questions Council gets <br /> <br />from the citizens. <br /> <br />Council next received an update from Marie Ferguson, the new Manager <br /> <br />of the West Piedmont Business Development Center. Ms. Ferguson introduced <br /> <br />herself to Council and gave a brief update stating there are now 20 tenants in <br /> <br />the Center, which is 95% occupancy rate. The Center has graduated six <br /> <br />tenants and she plans to put a lot of focus on marketing. Council Member <br /> <br />Clark and Vice-Mayor Reynolds asked if the six tenants had located their <br /> <br />businesses in the city or county and what reasons they gave for their location. <br /> <br />Ms. Ferguson said she would contact them and find out. She also mentioned a <br /> <br />new virtual program available for tenants who need all the resources of the <br /> <br />Center, but not office space. <br /> <br />Council received a presentation of the quarterly neighborhood focus <br /> <br />report for the NorthsidejChatham Heights area. After comments by Council, <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill requested that someone take a look at all the entrances <br />
