<br />.. <br />J. <br /> <br />October 11, 2005 <br /> <br />Density Residential on second reading; the motion was duly seconded and <br /> <br />carried by the following roll call vote, all members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) - <br /> <br />Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. Nays: (0) - None. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE PROPOSED LAND USE MAP <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session <br />assembled September 27, 2005, that in order to assure compliance with Virginia Code Section <br />15.1-491 (g), it is stated that the public purpose for which this Ordinance is initiated is to fulfill <br />the requirements of public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice, that <br />the Proposed Land Use Map of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, be--and is hereby--amended to <br />the extent that 505,507,509,511,513 E. Church Street, Parcels 34 (03) A/14, 15, 16, 17A, 17B, <br />18, on the Tax Map ofthe City of Martinsville, is designated as being for Professional usage. <br /> <br />Council received a presentation from Charles Toothman of the local <br /> <br />Health Department concerning the use of residual FY05 funds from the city to <br /> <br />help cover the cost of replacement of some dental equipment. After discussion, <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill moved to allow the Health Department to use the funds <br /> <br />as requested, the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, <br /> <br />all members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) - Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) - None. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council received a report from Anne Frazier, Area Director of the Boys & <br /> <br />Girls Club of Martinsville and Henry County, on the success of their summer <br /> <br />program. She indicated that 100 children were served for four weeks ages K- <br />
