M Martinsville

City Council
Agenda Summary

Meeting Date:
Item No:
Department:
Issue:

December 13, 2005
3.

Customer Service

Presentation and discussion of the quarterly neighborhood
focus report for the Druid Hills-Uptown area.

Summary:

The attached report outlines citizen concerns processed by Customer Service from
Dee 2004 through Dee 2005 for the Druid Hills & Uptown areas of the city. Also,
included is a 12-month comparison report for same areas for the previous 12-
month period.

The main neighborhood concerns continue to be unsightly properties, dilapidated
houses and inoperative vehicles. Details on concerns are noted on attached
report.

From 12/04 to 12/05, there were 404 concerns processed and for the previous
period from 12/03 to 12/04, there were 269 concerns processed. The increase for
the current report may be due to more active neighborhood watch programs as
well as residents taking more pride in their properties due to the city's clean up
efforts in enforcing the property maintenance ordinance.

This report includes all complaints referred directly to Customer Service and does
not include routine calls for service.

Attachments:

Druid Hills-Uptown Graphs
Voting Precinct Map
Druid Hills-Uptown Citizen Concerns

Recommendations: No action required
