It is noted that two (2) nfthese cubicles measured 42 square feet, one (I) <br />measured 49 square feet, and one (1) measured 64 square feet. In essence, very little <br />privacy/confidentiality, a desk, chairs, computer and files within 42-64 square feet. The <br />two (2) visitation rooms are too small to adequately fulfill the important mission of <br />family therapy. They each measure 130 square feet. There are consistent plumbing <br />problems with the rest rooms on this floor. <br /> <br />(C} The third floor is called the me2'~anine area. The square footage is 1,563. <br /> <br />This space consists primarily ora kitchen/break room and the conference room, where <br />meetings are conducted. The conference room, which has 651 .square feet, is too small to <br />conduct departmental wide staffmeetings. Therefore, the Director must conduct multiple <br />meetings on the same s~bject or secure adequate meeting space outside the facility. This <br />fact does not n~ake for the best u~ilization oftime. <br /> <br />(D) The fourth ortop floor conslsts of 6,762 square feet. This space has twelve (12) <br />cubicles, eight (8) partially closed offices and ten (I0) private offices - one ofwhich is <br />shared by two (2) employees. Thirty-one ('l 1) employees, working on the top floor, have <br />an average nf218 square feet per person. The Board/Conference Room, which has 320 <br />square feet, and the Director's ofl~ce is included in this calculation. 66.7% ofthe offices <br />(20 of 30) are open cubicles or partially closed offices. Some of the open cubicles are <br />occupied by Child Protective Services (CPS) wodoera, who deal with a myriad of <br />complex and confidential issues regarding the safety and general welfare of children- <br /> <br /> <br />
