FOOD STAMPS EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM (FSET) - A multi- <br />component employment and training program that provides Job Search, Job <br />Search Training, Education, Training, and Wo~ Experience to Food Stamp <br />recipients that do not receive TANF checks. The program's intent is to provide <br />Food Stamp recipients with opportunities that will lead to paid employment and <br />decrease dependency on assistance programs. <br /> · 167 average total referred <br /> · 227 active cases <br /> · 168 entered employment <br /> o 165 full-time employed <br /> o 3 part-time employed <br /> · $27,489.79 administered for purchase of services for FSET recipients <br /> <br />ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES (APS) - Investigations of abuse, neglect and <br />exploitation of elders and adults with disabilities. Services are developed to <br />prevent abuse, neglect and exploitation of these adults. <br /> · 145 Reports received and investigated <br /> <br />CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES (CPS) - Reports of child abuse and neglect <br />are investigated. Services are als9 provided to treat and prevent child abuse and <br />neglect. <br /> 342 reports and referrals received <br /> · 478 children involved <br /> 51 complaints founded* (711103-6130104) <br /> *Founded means that a preponderance of the evidence indicates <br /> that child abuse and/or neglect has occurred. <br /> <br />SERVICES INTAKE - Provides an initial access point to services of the agency <br />and an immediate response to crises that threaten the welfare, health, or safety <br />of individuals. It includes the following: Information and Referral (I&R), initial <br />screening and assessment, crisis intervention, assistance with emergency needs <br />to prevent eviction, utility cut-off, hunger, lack ~f essential clothing, or other life- <br />threatening situations. <br /> · 3323 Interviewed <br /> · 269 average monthly I&R'S completed' (includes ¥(~ferrals to churches and <br /> community resources for emergency and child protective services intakes <br /> 'of concerns and inquiries about CUstody and not CPS issues). <br /> ; 615 families assisted with emergency needs (utili§es, rent, medicine, etc.). <br /> ~56,9t2.93 pmv!ded spent to meet emergency need~ with Emergency <br /> <br />Funds (100% local only) <br /> <br /> <br />
