"r0~ Harned, EConOmic <br />Deve opment DireCtOr, stated that the deed transfer it not being asked for at this time. <br />He reported that the traditional rate for this type of property is $15,000 per acre, thereby <br />negotiating a $5,000 sale price. Larry McDOrman, President, Tire Energy Corporation, <br />presented an overview of the p¢0jebt, citing fire, mOSquitoes, landfill space, and tire piles <br />as rationale. Mayor Teague declared the Public Hearing open. The following citizens <br />spoke in opposition to the sale: Curtis Manning, of 1469 Longview Drive, Bassett; <br />Barbara and Bill Wi~n, 6f 501 Sours Mill Road, Axtori; N0rban RUtter, of 107 Sherwood <br />Place; Nancy Hooker, of 1029 MSibb¥'f¥ R0aS; and Tod TONS, Of 5i6 Robinhood Road, <br />Bassett.
