July 22, 2003 Supervisors would be held on Monday, July 28, 2003, 1:00 P. M., in Council Chamber, to honor local resident Nancy Amanda Redd, Miss Virginia 2003. Vice Mayor Roop moved to approve the following Consent Agenda items; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: Accept and appropriate into the General Fund for the FY03 Budget the following: 1. $129 in Revenue into 01100908 480410 - Miscellaneous/Donations/Fire Department for Expenditure in 01321102 506010 - Fire Department/Fire Prevention 2. $1,011 in Revenue into 01101917 442401 - Categorical Other State/Confiscated Assets/Police for Expenditure in 01311085506078 - Police/Confiscated Assets 3. $178 in Revenue into 01101917 442402 - Categorical Other State/Confiscated Assets/Commonwealth's Attorney for Expenditure in 01221085 506102 - Commonwealth's Attorney/Confiscated Assets 4. $25,969 in Revenue into 01102925 436161 - Noncategorical Federal/School Resource Officer Grant which allows the reduction in Revenue from 01103938 462101 - Contribution from Fund Balance by $25,969 Council considered adoption of a Resolution approving an agreement of the West Piedmont Planning District for a Manpower Pool and authorizing the Chief of Police of the City to execute said agreement. Vice Mayor Roop moved to adopt the following Resolution; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: WHEREAS, an emergency situation may require the reinforcement of local law enforcement personnel; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City of Martinsville have available to it a reserve force from which temporary assistance can be drawn in time of need; and WHEREAS, this contingency is provided for by the Agreement proposed by the police chiefs and sheriffs of the West Piedmont
