· A business representative appointed by the Chamber <br /> <br /> · The County Administrator <br /> <br /> · The City Manager ' <br /> <br /> · A business representative appointed by the Henry County Board of Supervisors <br /> <br /> · A business representative appointed by Martinsville City Council <br /> <br /> · A business representative appointed by the Harvest Foundation <br /> <br /> Alt board members, except the City Manager and County Administrator, shall <br />serve a term of two years with a limit of three consecutive terms. The County <br />Administrator and City Manager's beard terms are indefinite and they shall continue as <br />board members as long as they hold their respective positions. For the board's first term, <br />the Chamber appointee and the City appointee shall serve a one year term in order to <br />establish staggered terms of office. <br /> <br /> The Board of the Coalition shall elect a chairman and vice-chairman annually in <br />July fi-om amongst its members and shall elect such other officers as it deems necessary <br />or advisable. <br /> <br /> The Board of the Coalition shall adopt such procedures and rules of order as it <br />deems necessary or advisable to conduct the Coalition's business. <br /> <br /> The Board of the Coalition shall convene as oi'cen as it deems necessary to <br />properly conduct the business of the Coalition, but shall meet no less frequently than <br />quarterly. <br /> <br /> Board Responsibilities <br /> <br /> The Board of the Coalition's responsibilities shall be to: <br /> Develop an economic development mission, plan and process that, <br /> analyzes the community's assets against its needs and defines the t~es of <br /> diverse businesses and industries the area should consider pursuing. <br /> <br /> Develop a process to communicate with the public. <br /> <br /> Assess resources. <br /> <br /> Develop a budget. <br /> <br /> Develop and evaluation process and performance review. <br /> <br /> Establish time frames <br /> <br /> <br />
