Council Member Roop moved to adopt the following Consent Agenda items; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: A. Accept and appropriate in the School Fund for the FY02 Budget $1,650 into Revenue 18103908 418285 - Miscellaneous for Expenditure 85001023 566008 - Division Wide Building ServicesJehicle & Powered Equipment. B. Set a Public Hearing for June 11, 2002, to receive applicants for two three- year appointments beginning July 1,2002 to the City's School Board. Council Member Roop thanked all citizens, supporters, and family for his re- election to Council. Mayor Crabtree thanked everybody for his eight years of service on Council. Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion by Council Member Roop, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matter: A. Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as authorized by Subsection 1. 1. Drug Task Force Board of Directors 2. Patrick Henry Community College Board 3. Piedmont Regional Community Services Board 4. Planning Session 5. Transportation Safety Commission B. Consultation with legal counsel pertaining to actual litigation, as authorized by Subsection 7. C. Personnel matter regarding a public officer, as authorized by Subsection 1. Council recessed and convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
