Council Member Roop moved to refer Ordinance <br />No. 2001-6 back to the Planning Commission to review Council's two concerns; the <br />motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br />Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Mayor Crabtree announced that the City and Henry County had agreed earlier <br />this evening to execute a Revenue Sharing Agreement for Patriot Centre and Use of <br />State Grant Funds. City Manager Reynolds stated this agreement allows for revenue <br />sharing of three sites, consisting of 34 acres, and would not involve any City funds to <br />develop the park. Council expressed appreciation for the work of City Administration <br />and Staff. <br /> <br /> John Dyches, Water Resources Director, presented a staff report regarding the <br />status of the Water Agreement with the City and the Henry County Public Service <br />Authority. Mr. Dyches presented a historical background, from the 1981 drought and <br />1982 creation of the agreement. The City is allowed to produce ten million gallons of <br />water per day but generally produces an average of three million gallons per day. Two <br />additional lines need to be added. City Manager Reynolds stated that two million <br />dollars has already been awarded for water/sewer projects. <br /> <br /> Mayor Crabtree requested that City Administration/Staff explore with Henry <br /> County a Martinsville-Henry County economic development strategy plan with specific <br /> focus and targets. He did not feel that the report recently received by the West <br /> Piedmont Planning District was useable. Council Member Dallas requested that City <br /> <br /> <br />
