March 13, 2001 Council considered a report by the City's Public Works Director regarding recycling of various materials in the City. Mr. Towarnicki stated that for years, the City operated two recycling sites at Kroger's and Harris Teeter, which have moved and closed, respectively. The budget includes $30,000 to operate these two sites. Mr. Towarnicki has spoken with several vendors and is looking at different sites. Council Member Ferrill moved for 'Staff to proceed with site identification; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 4 - 1; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Ferdll, Roop, Teague; Nays (1) - Dallas. Council considered the Consent Agenda. Vice Mayor Teague moved to approve the following items; the motion was duly seconded and carded by the following votes, with all members voting: Vote [A & C] 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None; and Vote [B] 4 - 1; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Ferrilt, Roop, Teague; Nays (1) - Dallas: A. Accept and appropriate the following in the General Fund of the City's FY 2000-2001 Budget: 1. $1,064.11 from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services into Revenue 01101917-442401 - Confiscated Assets/Police Department for Expenditure 01 311085-506078 - State Forfeited Assets/Police Department 2. $187.79 from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services into Revenue 01101917-442402- Confiscated Assets/Commonwealth Attorney for Expenditure 01221082-506105 - State Forfeited Assets/Commonwealth Attorney. B. Accept, transfer and appropriate the following in the Hooker Field Fund of the City's FY2000-2001 Budget for Expenditure 40720420-508240 - Hooker Field Renovations ($75,850): 1. $5,000 donation from the Martinsville Community Recreation Association into Revenue 40100908- 440401. 2. $10,000 donation into Revenue 40100908-440402.
