City Manager Reynolds replied, "it should be ready by the end of the month." <br />Council Member Roop stated, "1 see this as a real opportunity for citizens to have a <br />better understanding of where their money goes and how little is under the control of <br />Council and the City Manager." Mr. Sanders stated, "When Pillowtex was in trouble, Sid <br />Clower cut $508,000, and it didn't take a long time." Vice Mayor Teague replied, "City <br />Manager Reynolds, within days of Tultex's announcement, had the process started." <br />Council Member Roop added, "We just didn't get the media coverage the Henry County <br />did." Mayor Crabtree stated, "We've had two tight years, but we've made it. The last <br />biennial survey showed a 80 to 90 percent satisfaction rate of City customers." With no <br />further business from the floor, Mayor Crabtree declared the Town Closed closed. <br /> Council considered Ordinance No. 2001-1 amending Chapter 12 -Motor <br /> Vehicles and Traffic, Article III- Vehicle License, Sections 12-51, 12-53, 12-55 of the <br /> City Code related to City decals. Pat Conrad, City Treasurer, stated, "This ordinance is <br /> to clarify and add to Code. The decal purchased must be put on the car. Also, if a <br /> violation is issued, a decal has to be purchased, not just pay the fine." Council Member <br /> Dallas moved to adopt the Ordinance, on first reading; the motion was duly seconded. <br /> Council Member Ferrill moved to amend the main motion by deleting the proposed <br /> <br /> <br />
