Council Member Roop moved for the City <br /> <br />Attorney to prepare an Ordinance requiring certain City employees to live within the City <br /> <br />to be considered by Council and receive public comment; the motion was duly <br /> <br />seconded and defeated by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 2 - 3; <br /> <br />Yeas (2) - Ferrill, Roop; Nays (3) - Crabtree, Dallas, Teague. <br /> <br />Wade Bartlett, Director of Finance, presented the Financial Report for month <br /> <br />ending September 30, 2000. <br /> <br />Council Member Dallas moved to adopt the following Consent Agenda items; the <br /> <br />motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br /> <br />Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br />Set a Public Hearing for November 14, 2000, to consider the <br />sale of City-owned real property consisting of two parcels <br />(26.538 acres and 0.938 acres) in the Martinsville Industrial <br />Park in Henry County to Frith Construction Co., Inc. <br />Accept and appropriate the following as a part of the City's <br />FY2000-01 Budget: <br />1. $4,308 from an insurance settlement into Revenue <br />01100909-49014 - Recovered Costs for Expenditure <br />01413149-506008 - Vehicle Equipment/Maintenance for <br />Street Construction in the General Fund. <br /> <br />2. $6,100 from an insurance settlement into Revenue <br /> 09100909-490104 - Recovered Costs for Expenditure <br /> 09425302-508205 - Vehicles/Equipment for the Landfill in <br /> the Refuse Fund. <br />3. $2,600 from an insurance settlement into Revenue <br /> 09100909-490104 - Recovered Costs for Expenditure <br /> 09426303-503320 - Office/Scale Equipment for Landfill <br /> <br />Gate Operations in the Refuse Fund. <br />$9,000 donation from Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company <br />into Revenue 16100908-480410 - Donations/Fire <br /> <br /> <br />
