HcJJ:er. <br /> <br />Minutes of the regular Council meeting held JcJlu'ry 26, 1954, upon being <br />read, were approved. <br /> <br />Cmmcil ad~no\-lledged the presence of local Boy Scouts, ccJ.ebrr,ting Boy Scout <br /> <br />Government Day, who, as elected offjcj als for the day, conducted the City's <br /> <br /> <br />o.ffeirs for the day and assisted the Hayor, Council, and Ci t;r H[,na~er in <br /> <br /> <br />conductin~ the Council meeting covered herein by these min:ctes. <br /> <br />In accordance vli th duly-adverti sed public notice, CouncD conducted a Pvblic <br />Her~rine on the Ameri.can Furniture Compuny' s petition and request of December <br />22, 1953 that a portion of Hairston Street Hest of St2,r1ing Avenue be <br />abandoned [.nd v8cated by the City. There being no objections registered <br />with the Council by anyone, and the request having been approved by the City <br /> <br /> <br />Plsnning Commission, Council adopted the follo\.ling resolt'tion to effect <br /> <br /> <br />irrunediately the vacating of said portion of Hairston street, as folloHs: <br /> <br />(SEE HI SERT ) <br /> <br />I <br />
