Frank Wilson presiding, was held in the Council Chmnber, <br /> <br />City Hall, Tuesday, June 27, 1961, at 7:15 P.M., and with all members present, <br /> <br />viz: M3.yor and Councilman J. Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor and Councilman Fred T. <br /> <br />Renick; and Councilmen Thomas J. Burch, E. E. Stone, and Harry L. Boaz. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved as read the minutes of its regular <br /> <br />meeting held June 13, 1961. <br /> <br />After extending its cordial welcome to members of two Yltll'tinsville Eigh School <br /> <br />government classes present and to managers, coaches, and members of the local <br /> <br />Little league baseball teams, Council recei~red a plea, through Mr'.A. E. Connelly, <br /> <br />on behalf of' the Little League and Pony League athletic program, for assistance <br /> <br />from the City, especially towards improving and maintaining facilities and, also, <br /> <br />t01..rards providing more baseball diamonds for the teams. Mayor Wilson anpointed <br /> <br />Councilmen Burch and Stone as representatives of the Council to confer with the <br /> <br />Little League directors in efforts to accomplish the aims &~d needs set forth <br /> <br />by Hr. Connelly. <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst reported that advertisement for bids will soon begin, for <br /> <br />receiving and opening August 8, 1961, on the second nhase of the current sewerage <br /> <br />system improvements program, i.e., the collector system for the Druid Hills-Forest <br /> <br />Park areas. <br /> <br />Council called for a special meeting of the Council to be held Friday, June 30, 1961, <br />at 2:00 P.M., for the purpose of further considering and/or adopting a 1961-62 <br /> <br />City Budget. <br />
