25 T"llESDAY JANUARY 10, 1?21: The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia., with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Tuesday, Jarmary 10, 1961, at 7 :15 P.M., with all members present, viz., Mayor and Councilman J. Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor and Councilman Fred T. Renick; and Coumilmen Thomas J. Burch, E. E. stone, and H. L. Boaz. /- After the invocation, Council approved as read the mirmtes of its regular meeting held December 27, 1960. Pursuant to duly-advertised public notices, Council conducted public hearings on the following proposals, as approved by the Planning Commission: (1) to rezone from liB-I Business" to "P-2 Professional" that property located at 15 Clevelarii Avenue, now occupied by the Professional Arts Center, and owned by Fifteen Cleveland, Inc.; (2) to rezone from liB-I Business" (with restrictions) to liP_I Professional" that property located at 100 Oakdale Street, owned by Mrs. Mattie Andes and Mrs. Lucille Andes Weaver, and occupied by the Bud Shelton Pharma.cy; and (3) to rezone from lIA_2 Residential" to rtB-2 Businessll a lot located at the corner of First and B Streets, iJWned by J. C. and E. H. Stone and leased to Virginia-Carolina Freight Lines, InC. There being no objections registered with Council to the proposed rezonings, C ouncll unanimously effected the requested and proposed rezonings by adopting the following ordiru.mces ameriling the City's Zoning Code am Zoning Mapl - BE I'l' ORDAINED by the Co~il of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled January 10, 1961, that the City's Zoning Code and Zoning Map be 2nd are hereby amended to classif';y as np_2 Professionalll, for zoning purposes, that property located at 15 Cleveland Avenue, owned by Fifteen Cleveland, Inc., and pres ently knovm as the Professional Arts Center.
