<br />25 <br /> <br />T"llESDAY <br /> <br />JANUARY 10, 1?21: <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia., <br /> <br />with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, <br /> <br />Tuesday, Jarmary 10, 1961, at 7 :15 P.M., with all members present, viz., Mayor and <br /> <br />Councilman J. Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor and Councilman Fred T. Renick; and Coumilmen <br /> <br />Thomas J. Burch, E. E. stone, and H. L. Boaz. <br /> <br />/- <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved as read the mirmtes of its regular meeting <br /> <br />held December 27, 1960. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-advertised public notices, Council conducted public hearings on the <br /> <br />following proposals, as approved by the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />(1) to rezone from liB-I Business" to "P-2 Professional" that property located <br /> <br />at 15 Clevelarii Avenue, now occupied by the Professional Arts Center, and <br /> <br />owned by Fifteen Cleveland, Inc.; <br /> <br />(2) to rezone from liB-I Business" (with restrictions) to liP_I Professional" <br /> <br />that property located at 100 Oakdale Street, owned by Mrs. Mattie Andes <br /> <br />and Mrs. Lucille Andes Weaver, and occupied by the Bud Shelton Pharma.cy; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />(3) to rezone from lIA_2 Residential" to rtB-2 Businessll a lot located at the <br /> <br />corner of First and B Streets, iJWned by J. C. and E. H. Stone and leased <br /> <br />to Virginia-Carolina Freight Lines, InC. <br /> <br />There being no objections registered with Council to the proposed rezonings, C ouncll <br /> <br />unanimously effected the requested and proposed rezonings by adopting the following <br /> <br />ordiru.mces ameriling the City's Zoning Code am Zoning Mapl <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />BE I'l' ORDAINED by the Co~il of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular meeting assembled January 10, 1961, that the City's Zoning Code and <br />Zoning Map be 2nd are hereby amended to classif';y as np_2 Professionalll, for <br />zoning purposes, that property located at 15 Cleveland Avenue, owned by <br />Fifteen Cleveland, Inc., and pres ently knovm as the Professional Arts Center. <br />
