J54 TUESDAY Jill~UAH.Y 26, 1965 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held Tuesday, January 26, 1965, beginning at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, with all members being present with the exception of Councilman Harry L. Boaz, viz., Mayor J. Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor Fred T. Renick, M.D.; Thomas J. Burch; and E. E. Stone. After the invocation, Council approved as recorded the minutes of its regular meeting held January 12, 1965. Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a public and 410.4 hearing to amend storage occupancy provisions of Sections 409.4/of the City's Building Code. There being no objections registered to the proposed amendment~3, Council adopted the following ordinance effecting these amendments, as follows: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-sixth day of January, 1965, that Section 409.4 and Section 410.4 of the Building Code of the City of Martinsville be and are hereby amended to read as follows: Section 409.4--Group F--Storage Occupancy ("Notell) When over two stories in height, an approved automatic water sprinkler :3hall be installed throughout the building with a maximulll allowable floor area increase of fifty (50%) percent permitted in buildings over two stories and not exceeding four stories where such sprinklers are installed. Section 410.4--Group G--Industrial Occupancy (IINotell) In buildings over two stories, sprinklers shall be required with a maximwn allowable floor area increase of fifty (50%) percent permitted in buildings over two stories and not exceeding four stories where such sprinklers are installed.
