Council to convene for Executive Session <br /> <br />Consider, in Executive Session, in accordance with the Code of Virginia, Chapter <br />21--Freedom of Information Act, Section 2. !-344(A)---Executive or Closed <br />Meetings, the following: <br /> <br />A. Personnel matter under the jurisdiction of the Council, as authorized by <br /> Sub section 1. <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Reception <br />Display New Fire Truck <br />Display Police Car with Mobile Data Terminal <br /> <br />7:00 P.M. Town Meeting Begins <br /> <br />Invocation - Council Member Bruce H.T. Dallas <br /> <br />II. Recognition of City employees nominated for the quarterly Service Excellence <br /> Award and announcement of the winner. (See Enclosure #1) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Five City employees have been nominated by their peers to <br />receive this Award for this quarter. Brenda Prillaman, Customer Service Repre- <br />sentative, will announce the winner for the quarter as selected by the Customer <br />Service Committee. <br /> <br />III. Conduct the Town Meeting. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Heating on a request by the City of Martinsville to abandon a <br />portion of North Barton Street, wl'fi'ch lies between West Church Street and <br />Fayette Street. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: We recommend that the Council approve this request as recom- <br />mended by the Planning Commission and adopt the Ordinance as prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />
