Gene Teague <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of <br />March 8, 1999. (See Enclosure #1) <br /> <br />Recognition'of City employees nominated for the quarterly Service <br />Excellence Award and announcement of the winner. <br />(See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: This is a new program implemented by the Custo- <br />mer Service Committee whereby. City employees nominate their <br />peers for service above and beyond the call of duty. There were ten <br />nominees during this first round and they will be attending your <br />meeting to receive recognition and the winner will be announced at <br />that time. <br /> <br />Conduct the Town Meeting. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />Conduct a joint public hearing with the Martinsville Planning <br />Commission on a request submitted by R. C. Realty Corporation to <br />rezone the Patrick Henry Mall located at 730 East Church Street, <br />from C-1 Commercial to C-3 Commercial. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: As you are aware, this is a joint meeting with the <br />Planning Commission, therefore, they will be making a recommen- <br />dation to Council following the Public Hearing. If their recommem <br />dation is favorable, Council should adopt the Ordinance amending <br />the Zoning Map. <br /> <br />Consider adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance No. 99-4 <br />amending Appendix A--Schedule of Water and Sewer Service Rates <br />of the City's Terms and Conditions for Water and Sewe~ Service. <br />(See Enclosure #5) "' <br /> <br />COMMENTS: We recommend that Council adopt this Ordinance <br />on second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
