<br />2f <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBHUARY 11. 1958 <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of }~tinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Vayor John W. Shultz presiding, was held in the Council <br /> <br />Chamber, City Hall, Tuesday, February 11, 1958, at 7:30 P.N., all members <br /> <br />being present, as follows: Mayor and Councilman John W. Shultz; Vice- <br /> <br />l'hyor and Councilman E. E. Stone; and Councilmen C. C. Donavant, B. H. <br /> <br />Hill, and J. R. Walker. <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved as read the minutes of its meeting <br /> <br />held February 4, 1958. <br /> <br />Council noted the observance of local Boy Scouts, who served as city <br /> <br />officials during the day, and the presence of their leaders. <br /> <br />~ZC.' <br />~~ <br />f,5 <br />:.::>: <br />it <br /> <br />Council ordered a special meeting of the Council to be held in the Council <br /> <br />Chamber, Tuesday, Febluary 18, 1958, to consider the developing of a proposal <br /> <br />for presentation on l~rch 18th to the Water Control Board in connection with <br /> <br />the City's sewerage system improvement proeram. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of the Planning Commission's recommendation dated <br /> <br />February 10, 1958, in which it reconuuended denial of V~. Philip Sprinkle's <br /> <br />peti tion (referred to the Conunission by Council from meeting of December 10, <br /> <br />1957) requesting that certain properties owned by him near Smith Lake Hoad <br /> <br />immediatel:Y' east of Rivermont Heights be rezoned from an "A-2 Residential" <br /> <br />classification to "B-2 Industrial". By Council's failure to proceed further <br /> <br />~dth this matter, it was assumed tr~t the Commission's recommendation was <br /> <br />accepted. <br />
