1~ TtJESDA Y JUNE 14. 1960 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Mlrtinsville, Virginia, with Mayor John W. Shultz presiding, was held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Tuesday, June 14, 1960, at 7:15 P..M., all members of Council being present, as follows: Mayor and Councilman John W.. Shultz; Vice-Mayor and Councilman E. E. Stone; and Councilmen Thomas J. Burch, Clarence C. Donavant, and J. Frank Wilson. /...-.., After the invocation, Council approved as rean the minutes of its regular meeting held May 24, 1960. Upon request of Attorney Marvin L. Hill, counsel for Mrs. Freda D. Worthington and Mr. A. C. Drewry, petitioners, Council directed that a duly-advertised public hearing be conducted by Cmmcil at its regular meeting to be held June 28, 1960, on petitioners' request that their property located at the southeast corner of Church and Cleveland Streets be rezoned to "B-1 Business", which request the City Planning Commission on May 24, 1960, recommended be denied.. In response to an inquiry from City Manager Hirst pertaining to the several recent requests for relief from the current sewer service charges imposed (viz., on community swimming pools, private swimming pools, large industrial water users, and instances where water service lines have broken), Council directed that City Manager Hirst prepare a revision of the sewer service charge ordinance to permit reasonable adjustments of sewer service charges where broken water service lines are involved. ,--..
