4~ TUESDAY AUGUST 10. 1965 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held Tuesday, August 10, 1965, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members being present, viz., Mayor J. Frank Wilson; Dr. Fred T. Renick, Vice-Mayor; Harry L. Boaz; Thomas J. Burch; and E. E. Stone. After the invocation, Council approved as recorded the minutes of its regular meeting held July 27, 1965. Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a Public Hearing on Mr. Preston R. Graham's request--previously approved by the Planning Commission--that his property, identified as Lots Nos. 2 and 3 on the east side of Liberty Street (Route 108) near 716 Liberty Street, be rezoned to "C-3 Commercial". There being no objections to this proposal, Council adopted the following ordinance effecting said rezoning (in the manner recommended by the Planning Commission) and amending the City's Zoning Code and Map: BE 17 ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this tenth day of August, 1965, that the Zoning Code and Zoning Map of the City of Martinsville be, and is hereby, amended to reclassify--for zoning purposes--to "C-3 Commercial" Lots Nos. 2 and 3 fronting the east side of Liberty Street (Route 108), near 716 Liberty Street, owned by Mr. Preston R. Graham, with the exception of twenty-five feet depth from the west line of Roselawn Park property, which twenty-five feet depth is to remain I'residentialll as a IIbufferll strip between Roselawn Cemetery and the property hereby rezoned "C-3 Commercial".
