<br />2: <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br />-- <br /> <br />JULY 28, 1964 <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />.""'..-. <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held Tuesday, July 28, <br /> <br />1964, beginning at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, \.lith all <br /> <br />members present excepting Councilman Thomas J. Burch, viz., Mayor J. Frank <br /> <br />Wilson; Vice-Mayor Fred T. Renick, M.D.; Harry L. Boaz; and E. E. Stone. <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved as recorded the minutes of its <br /> <br />,,,,,""- <br /> <br />regular rreeting held July 14, 1964. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a public <br /> <br />hearing on the petitions by Moorefield's Cleaners & Laundry, Inc., filed <br /> <br />with Council April 14, 1964 and May 12, 1964--and approved by the Planning <br /> <br />Commission report filed with Council July 14, 1964--requesting the rezoning to <br /> <br />IIM-2 Industrial" of two lots owned by petitioner adjacent to its present <br /> <br />plant site. There being no objections registered to this proposed rezoning, <br /> <br />Council adopted the following ordinance amending the City's Zoning Code <br /> <br />and Zoning Map, thus granting petitioner's request: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular mseting assembled this 28th day of <br />.July, 1964, that the City's Zoning Code and Zoning Map be <br />and is hereby amended to re-classify and effect a "M-2 <br />Industrial" zoning elassification on the following property <br />owned by Moorefield's Cleaners & Laundry, Inc., adjacent <br />and near to the pre2,ent plant site of Moorefield's Cleaners <br />and LalLYldry: <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />That certain property consisting of the rear portions <br />of Lots 14 and 15 purchased from Della Wade Gentry <br />and Ruby Martin, respectively, each lot being <br />60'x60' and lying immediately adjacent to the \.lest <br />line of Moorefield's, Inc., and sixty feet (60') <br />more or less SGuth of the south line of Cross Street <br />and one hundreo and twenty feet (1201) east of <br />Park Street. <br /> <br />^.._._..~._-"-~-_._-~..._-_."-,_.._.~-,.....~. ~ - - "~_._.~-.._----_.__._._-_._.._-,.,.-.__._..._"-----,-- <br />
