<br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville,
<br />
<br />Virginia, with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held in the Council Chamber,
<br />
<br />City Hall, Tuesday, June 23, 1964, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members being
<br />
<br />present, viz., Mayor J. Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor Fred T. Renick, M.D.; Harry
<br />
<br />L. Boaz; Thomas J. Burch; and E. E. Stone.
<br />
<br />After the invocation, Council approved as recorded the minutes of its regular
<br />
<br />meeting held June 9, 1964, and of its special meeting held June 16, 1964.
<br />
<br />By a recorded and unanimous vote, Council adopted a City Budget for the fiscal
<br />
<br />year ending June 30, 1965, being that--with revisions--recommended by City
<br />
<br />Manager Hirst and presented May 26, 1964. In so doing, Council continued the
<br />
<br />property tax rates for 1964 as were in effect during 1963 and, also, adopted
<br />
<br />the following appropriation ordinance:

<br />AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPLICATIONS OF SUMS OF MONEY FOR ALL NECESSARY
<br />KXPENDITURES OF THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA, FOR ITS FISCAL YEAR
<br />ENDING JUNE 30, 1965.
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia,
<br />that the following sums of money be and are hereby appropriated by funds for
<br />me fiscal year ending June 30, 1965, from fund sources of estimated
<br />revenue a.s follows:
