~ "y" n ~'o TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 1976 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, ....- Virginia, with Mayor G. S. Fitz-Hugh, Jr., presiding, was held Tuesday, September 28, 1976, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., the following members being present, viz., G. S. Fitz-Hugh, Jr., Mayor; William D. Hobson, Vice Mayor; Barry A. Greene; and L. D. Oakes. Councilman Francis T. West was absent, being out of the City. After the invocation, Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its regular meeting held September 7, 1976 and of its special meeting held September 10, 1976. City Manager Noland reported that the request filed with Council on September 7, 1976, by the Exchange Club of Martinsvi11e, for use of a portion of the City's Industrial Park as a site for the club-sponsored Martinsvil1e- Henry County Fair (after 1977), may be withdrawn by petitioner. Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council adopted the following ordinance (previously recommended by the Planning Commission) amending Section V, Paragraphs J and K, of the City Zoning Ordinance: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled September 28, 1976, that Paragraphs "J" and "K" of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Martinsvil1e, Virginia, be--and are hereby-- amended to include the following allowable uses, identified and/or described as line "II-A" under Paragraph "J" (C3 Commercial District) and line "1" under Paragraph "K" (Ml Industrial District): II-A. Living quarters for one family included as a part of a single commercial building housing a single use and occupied by the owner, manager or caretaker of the business property. 1. Any use permitted in the C3 Commercial District, except living quarters for owner, manager or caretaker.
