<br />(', l~ <br />~,J' <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 28, 1976 <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, Council also amended the City's <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance through the adoption of the following ordinance, adding and <br /> <br />specifying screening requirements referred to in the ordinance adopted by <br /> <br />Council on August 10, 1976, which amended Section V, Paragraph I of said <br /> <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled September 28, 1976, <br />that Paragraph "I" of Section V of the Zoning Ordinance <br />of the City of Martinsvi1le, Virginia, as amended <br />August 10, 1976, be--and is hereby further--amended to <br />include the following, being identified as sub-paragraph <br />or line 19: <br /> <br />19. Used car lots and/or repair garages, <br />provided there is erected and maintained <br />a screening consisting of a seven-foot <br />high fence and having ninety (90%) <br />obscurity surrouding any area where <br />inoperable vehicles and all other <br />materials, except operable vehicles <br />for sale, are stored. <br /> <br />Also, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, Council called for a <br /> <br />duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted by Council at its forthcoming <br /> <br />October 26th meeting on a proposal to amend further the above-referred-to <br /> <br />Section V, Paragraph I, of the Zoning Ordinance, by the deletion therefrom <br /> <br />not only the foregoing amendment but also the August 10th amendment. <br /> <br />,"-~ <br /> <br />Upon invitation of the Planning Commission, Council appointed Councilman <br /> <br />L. D.
