;1', l "'. i"~ fL'U TUESDAY AUGUST 24, 1976 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsvi1le, Virginia, with Mayor Harry L. Boaz presiding, was held Tuesday, August 24, 1976, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members being present, viz., Harry L. Boaz, Mayor; William D. Hobson, Vice Mayor; G. S. Fitz-Hugh, Jr.; Barry A. Greene; and Morton W. Lester. After the invocation, Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its regular meeting held August 10, 1976. Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a Public Hearing on an application for a Special-Use Permit filed with Council on June 8, 1976 by the Martinsvil1e Corvette Club (Mr. Edward E. Wolfe, President), to allow petitioner to sponsor and conduct a bicycle "Autocross" event at Liberty Heights Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 18, 1976. Having been advised by the Planning Commission (under date of August 6, 1976) that the September 18th date requested by petitioner conflicts with the Martinsvil1e- Henry County Fair scheduled at this location for the week of September 13th-18th, Council accepted the Planning Commission's subsequent report and recommendation dated August 20, 1976, that the Special-Use Permit be issued for the date of Saturday, September 25, 1976 and, accordingly, authorized the issuance of such a permit for September 25th at Liberty Heights Fairgrounds. By report dated August 20, 1976, the Planning Commission informed Council that it has given final approval, under the City's Subdivision Ordinance, to a map prepared for the City, indicating a resubdivision of property lying on ^--,-^-_..._,..-_._-_.~,,-,.__.._,.~._-,----~_..._._...,~-
