<br />, r <br />:is. <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 24, 1976 <br /> <br />--- <br />/ <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor Harry L. Boaz presiding~ was held Tuesday, February 24~ <br /> <br />1976, in the Council Chamber, City Hal1~ beginning at 7:30 P.M.~ all members <br /> <br />being present~ viz.~ Harry L. Boaz~ Mayor; William D. Hobson, Vice-Mayor; <br /> <br />G. S. Fitz-Hugh~ Jr.; Barry A. Greene; and Morton W. Lester. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its <br /> <br />regular meeting held February 10~ 1976. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a public <br /> <br />hearing on an application--fi1ed by Nationwide Homes, Inc.~ on November 25~ <br /> <br />1975--for a Special-Use Permit to allow applicant to develop a unified <br /> <br />housing complex, with special features dictated by terrain~ at a site off <br /> <br />Brookdale Road~ in East Martinsvi1le. There being no objections registered~ <br /> <br />and in acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation*(dated January <br /> <br />23~ 1976)~ Council unanimously approved said application and granted said <br /> <br />Special-Use Permit, which Permit is to be in force no longer than eighteen <br /> <br />months from February 24~ 1976 or until such time before the expiration of <br /> <br />eighteen months as development begins. Also made a part of this Permit were <br /> <br />.,..- <br /> <br />the recommended provisions to allow for a right-of-way of fifty feet on a <br /> <br />proposed new street~ a front-yard requirement of twenty-five feet~ and the <br /> <br />construction of duplex houses with joint wall constructed on property line <br /> <br />between two lots. * <br /> <br />* See adGt'nd1.L"n (Ti ;:Rfe 157. <br />
