<br />.50 <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 24, 1976 <br /> <br />On behalf of the Patrick Henry Mental Hygiene Clinic, Dr. Joseph Leizer~ <br /> <br />its Acting Director~ presented to the City a check from the Clinic, in <br /> <br />the amount $5~732.11~ representing a refund of the un-used portion of <br /> <br />the City's contribution to said Clinic for fiscal 1974-75. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-advertised public notice~ Council conducted a public <br /> <br />hearing on a proposed amendment to Paragraph "c" of Section VI of <br /> <br />the City's Zoning Ordinance~ as recommended by the City's Planning <br /> <br />Commission under date of January 23~ 1976. After considering this <br /> <br />proposa1~ and there being no objections thereto registered by anyone, <br /> <br />Council unanimously adopted the following ordinance effecting said <br /> <br />proposed amendment: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsvi11e~ <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fourth day <br />of February~ 1976, that the Zoning Ordinance of the City <br />of Martinsville be--and is hereby--amended, by the adding <br />of the following~ as sub-paragraph 4, to Paragraph "c" <br />of Section VI: <br /> <br />4. Where there is no building on either side of a <br />street within a b1ock~ the front yard required in the <br />R-6 Residential Zone shall not be less than thirty <br />(30) feet, provided~ however~ that if the natural <br />slope of the ground on either side of a street and <br />within a block is such that the average difference <br />in elevation between the finished centerline grade <br />and the lot grade at the thirty (30) foot building <br />line is greater than five (5) feet~ the building <br />line for both sides of the street in that block <br />shall be established where such difference in <br />elevation is five (5) feet~ provided further that <br />no such line shall be closer to the street line <br />than twenty-five (25) feet. <br /> <br />, _.....,,_"_.."'~"'-~___...;,,"'"""''''_,'"""._-..,",''__.'''''h''.,....;"_,*"~~.;_,,,....~;_",...__,~,"_,",",...."."..,,..___~____"____."-_._-",,. <br />
