<br />1QO <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 10~ 1976 <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor Harry L. Boaz presiding~ was held Tuesday, February 10~ <br /> <br />1976~ in the Council Chamber, City Ha1l~ beginning at 7:30 P.M.~ all members <br /> <br />being present~ viz.~ Harry L. Boaz, Mayor; William D. Hobson~ Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />G. S. Fitz-Hugh, Jr.; Barry A. Greene; and Morton W. Lester. <br /> <br />After the invocation~ Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its <br /> <br />regular meeting held January 27, 1976. <br /> <br />In connection with City Manager Noland's February 2nd (1976) memorandum <br /> <br />to Council concerning the possible formation of an Agency on Aging to <br /> <br />serve a number of jurisdictions within Planning District XII (~{PPDC) and~ <br /> <br />also~ with a memorandum (dated February 6~ 1976) on this same subject from <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager-Public Works Director George W. Brown~ accompanied <br /> <br />by a (revised) set of By-Laws~ Council unanimously authorized the proceeding <br /> <br />with the establishing of such an agency and to participate therein, contingent <br /> <br />upon the re-wording of several phrases and/or clauses in the proposed By-Laws~ <br /> <br />with such re-wording to be made by officials of the City. To this agency, <br /> <br />to be known as "The Piedmont Seniors of Virginia, Inc.", Council unanimously <br /> <br />appointed Mrs. John L. Manson and Mr. Curtis F. Bouldin as the City's <br /> <br />members-representatives for three-year terms. <br /> <br />With reference to the matter brought to Council's attention on January 27, <br /> <br />1976, by Mr. John J. A. Sanders~ of 308 Starling Avenue~ concerning the <br /> <br />electric service tariff recently applied to Mr. Sanders' properties on <br />
