lQ.

TUESDAY

FEBRUARY 10, 1976

?-.

Virginia and Princeton Streets, City Attorney David B. Worthy recommended

the refunding to Mr. Sanders of the difference between the amounts charged

Mr. Sanders under the tariff applied and the amounts he would have been

charged had his bills been computed on a residential tariff~ with the

City Attorney so recommending on the premise that Mr. Sanders~ at the time

the non-residential tariff became applicable because of existing single-service

connections to his rental (apartment) properties~ was not given the opportunity

to exercise his option of choosing between the single-service connections and

the multiple-service connections. Noting that the tariff

currently being applied for this service is parallel to that of Appalachian

Power Company in such instances~ i.e.~ churches and institutional

organizations with all-electric facilities, Council requested City Manager

Noland to conduct a survey of tariffs being applied to all churches served

by the City and the monetary effects thereof~ for report back to Council.

Supplementing its actions of December 10~ 1974 and October 28~ 1975~

pertaining to the conduct by the City of a Mass Transit Technical Study, and
