Ronald Ferrill <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of May 8, <br /> June 20 and August 12, 2003. (See Enclosures #l-a, #1-b and #l-c} <br /> <br />II. Review financial report for month ending 07/31/03. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />III. Consider City Manager's request to re-appropriate funds in the FY03 <br /> budget to the FY04 budget and approve an FY04 budget adjustment. <br /> (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />IV. Consider School Superintendent's request to re-appropriate funds in the <br /> FY03 budget to the FY04 budget and approve FY04 budget adjustments. <br /> (See Enclosure #4-a and #4-b) <br /> <br />Consider approval, on second reading, of Ordinance No. 2003-11 adding <br />Article VI, Sections 12-140 through 12-169 of the City Code concerning <br />bicycles and mopeds at the request, of the Transportation Safety <br />Commission. (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: At the request of the School Superintendent, the <br />Ordinance has been amended to add language to Sec. 12-159 that no <br />person shall operate or ride a moped upon any property owned by the <br />Martinsville City Schools. <br /> <br />VI. Consider approval, on first reading, of Amendment to Ordinance No. <br /> 2003-12 amending, revising and reordalning Article II of Chapter 15.5 of <br /> the City Code relating to property maintenance to include language <br /> concerning the appeals process. (See Enclosure #6) <br /> <br />VII. Conducl~ a Public Hearing on a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant of <br /> $15,353 to purchase equipment for the Police Department. <br /> <br />VIII. Conduct a public hearing to consider the sale of City-owned real property <br /> consisting of approximately 0.3 acres in the Martinsville Industrial Park <br /> in Henry County to Tire Energy Corporation and consider authorizing the <br /> City Manager to execute a deed conveying said property as noted. <br /> <br />IX. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the <br />opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed <br /> <br /> <br />
