Supervision of maintenance, operation, etc. <br /> <br />The director of the electric department shall, subject to the direction of the city manager, <br />have active charge and control of the maintenance, operation and construction of the entire <br />city electrical system, including the sale and distribution of electricity. <br />(Code 1971, ~ 5-3) <br /> <br />~"'--" <br /> <br />Sec. 7.2. Terms and conditions of service generally. <br /> <br />Electric service rendered by the city shall be subject to the electric service terms and <br />conditions approved by the council on December 23, 1980, and as subsequently amended, and <br />nothing in this Code or the ordinance adopting this Code shall affect such terms and conditions <br />and the same are hereby recognized as continuing in full force and effect. <br />(Ord. Application for service. <br /> <br />All applications for a supply of electricity to be furnished by the city shall be made at the <br />office of the city treasurer, either in person or by a duly authorized agent of the applicant and <br />on forms furnished by the electric department. No such application shall be approved or <br />accepted on behalf of the city until any such indebtedness as may exist on the part of the <br />applicant toward the city against the electrical utility system is liquidated.
