TU~SDAY~MARCH 26, 1991 A regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia~?wit'h Vice-Mayor Alfred T.. Groden presiding, was held Tuesday, March 26, 1991 in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M. The following members' of Council were present: Alfred T. Groden, Vice-Mayor; George B. Adams, Jr.; L.D. Oakes, and Clyde L. Williams. Absent was Mayor Allan McClain, who was away from the City. After the invocation, followed by Vice-Mayor Groden's cordial welcome to visitors, Council approved the minutes of its March 12, 1991 meeting as circulated. Council conducted a public hearing on a proposal by the Planning Commission to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan in order to change the name of Cross Street, located along the western end of View and Eanes Streets, to Pineview Street. There being no comments by any persons present, Vice-Mayor Groden declared the public hearing closed. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted the following Ordinance: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia',- in regular meeting assembled March 26, 1991, that the ComprehensiVe Plan of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, be--and is hereby--amended to the extent that. Cross Street, located along the western end of View and Eanes Streets, be renamed as Pineview Street.~ - BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, this ordinance shall be in force on and after March 27, 1991. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted, on second reading the followingOrdinance No. 91-1 amending Article VIII--Disconnection and Reconnection,' Section 8.1-'Disconnection for Non-Payment, of the Terms and Conditions 'for Electric Services, and Article IX--Disconnection and Reconnection, Section 9.1--Disconnection for Non-Payment, of the Terms and Conditions for Water and Sewer Sel~ices:
