Council

continued this matter for study.

Upon reconrroondation of C orrnnissiorer of Revenue J. David Morris, Council directed

that a refund of local business license tax of $75.00, paid Jure 5, 1962, be

made to the Martinsville Kiwanis Club, thus granting the Kiwanis Club's request

submLtted to Council June 26, 1962.

Upon motion, duly secorrled and unanimously carried, Council confirmed the

recent execution of a deed conveying the City's North Martinsville Playground

tract to Sale Knitting Company. City Mamger Hirst inforrred Council that Sale

Knitting Compan;y, in the near future, probably will request the closing and

vacating of several unopened streets within the area conveyed.
