<br />.,,. n ~ <br />1. .j <br /> <br />JANUARY 27~ 1976 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsvi11e~ <br /> <br />Virginia, with Vice-Mayor William D. Hobson presiding in the absence of <br /> <br />Mayor Harry L. Boaz~ was held Tuesday~ January 27~ 1976~ in the Council <br /> <br />Chamber~ City Ha1l~ beginning at 7:30 P.M.~ all members--with the exception <br /> <br />of Mayor Boaz--being present~ viz.~ William D. Hobson, Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />G. S. Fitz-Hugh~ Jr.; Barry A. Greene; and Morton W. Lester. <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />In tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's report recommending <br /> <br />the amending of Paragraph C of Section VI of the City's Zoning Ordinance, by <br /> <br />the adding thereto of the fo1lowing~ to be identified as sub-paragraph 4, <br /> <br />Council called for a duly-advertised public hearing on this proposed amendment <br /> <br />to be conducted at Council's forthcoming February 24th meeting: <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />Where there is no building on either side of a <br />street within a b1ock~ the front yard required <br />in the R-6 Residential Zone shall not be less <br />than thirty (30) feet~ provided, however~ that <br />if the natural slope of the ground on either <br />side of a street and within a block is such <br />that the average difference in elevation <br />between the finished centerline grade and the <br />lot grade at the thirty (30) foot building <br />line is greater than five (5) feet~ the <br />building line for both sides of the street <br />in that block shall be established where such <br />difference in elevation is five (5) feet, <br />provided further that no such line shall be <br />closer to the street line than twenty-five (25) <br />feet. <br /> <br />Through its counsel, Mr. Douglas K. Frith~ Attorney at Law~ Multi-Channel <br /> <br />T. V. Cable Company of Mansfield (Ohio)~ assignee, trading as Martinsvi1le <br /> <br />Cable Vision~ presented certain proposed amendments to an ordinance dated <br /> <br />March 22, 1966, and as subsequently amended, granting a community antenna <br />
