I72 <br /> TUESDAY, June 27, 2000 <br /> <br />the City's Employee Manual. <br /> <br />Council approved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote <br /> <br />5-0; Yeas (5)- Crabtree, Teague, Dallas, Haskell, and Roop; Nays (0)- None; Absent (0), the Resolution as <br /> <br />follows. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 2--Administration, Article I--In General, Section 2.1--Leave Regulations for <br />City Employees of the City Code states that leave regulations for City employees under the juris- <br />diction of the City Manager shall be established by ordinance or resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Administration has recommended an additional holiday--Lee-Jackson Day <br />on Friday preceding Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on the 3'd Monday in January; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Administration has recommended changes affecting annual and sick leave <br />accrual rates and accumulation limits as noted on the attached; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session <br />assembled on June 27, 2000, that it does hereby approve this additional holiday and revised <br />changes in annual and sick leave accrual rates and accumulation limits as per Attachment A for all <br />full-time City employees under the jurisdiction of the City Manager to be effective July 1, 2000. <br /> <br />Next, Council considered authorizing the City Administration to submit an application to the V'ffginia <br />Resources Authority for revenue bond financing in the mount of $2,700,000 for capital improvements and <br />partial closure at the City's Landfill. City Manager Reynolds summarized the process and intentions of the <br />plan. Council approved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 5-0; Yeas (5)- Crabtree, <br />Teague, Dallas, Haskell, and Roop; Nays (0)- None; Absent (0), the application submission. <br /> <br />Next, council considered adoption of a Reimbursement Resolution declaring the City' s intention to reimburse <br />itself from the proceeds of one or more tax-exempt ~nancings for certain expenditures in connection with <br />capital improvements at the City' s Landfill.
