Dallas <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of <br />August 8, 10, 10-12, 22, 31, September 5 and 7, 2000. <br />(See Enclosure # 1 -a, # 1 -b, # 1 -c, # 1 -d, # 1 -e, # 1 -f and # 1 -g) <br /> <br />Recognition of City employees receiving Service Awards from July <br />to September 2000. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: These employees will not be at the meeting, but the <br />Mayor will read the list. <br /> <br />'Recognition of Nominees for the 2000 Third-Quarter Service <br />Excellence Award and announcement of the Quarterly Winner. <br />(See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: These employees have been invited to the meeting. <br /> <br />Conduct the Town Meeting. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />Consider adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance No. 2000-6 <br />establishing an underground utility corridor in accordance with <br />the Virginia Department of Transportation Policy. <br />(See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: This Ordinance was introduced at Council's <br />September 5 meeting. We recommend that Council adopt this <br />Ordinance on second reading. <br /> <br />Consider adoption, on an emergency basis, of an Ordinance setting <br />a Public Hearing for October 10, 2000, on the issuance of up to <br />$3,100,000 principal mount of a Solid Waste Revenue Bond of the <br />City of Martinsville, Virginia, and setting forth the purpose, in <br />general terms, for which the Bond is to be issued, the maximum <br />amount of the Bond to be issued and the maximum length of time <br />such Bond will be outstanding.
