Reynolds, Jr., City Manager, replied, <br />"40% ." <br /> Ashby Pritchett, Clerk of Circuit Court, stated, "State funding for me should be <br /> 76%; I've been operating with 24% Oity4unds for the past three years. Records are <br /> now available through the website. Under State law, I can charge for access or <br /> advertising. This, then, may be revenue-generating.'' <br /> Robert Foster, Director of Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court Service Unit, <br /> stated, "We've experienced a significant increase in usage, thereby increasing the <br /> costs. This is due to an increase in concern for public safety and juvenile crime. We <br /> use as much electronic monitoring as possible. If we have to use the W: W..Moore <br /> facility, we pay $70.00 per day, as opposed to an average of $99.00 per day at other <br /> facilities." <br /> Steve Draper, Sheriff, stated, "The good news is that the jail population has <br /> decreased to an average of 102 inmates per day. The bad news is the State is cutting <br /> three positions. Our current overtime line item is high because we've bought back <br /> compensatory time and assisted the Police Department with events, such as ballgames <br /> and the Christmas Parade. The increase in service contracts is due to the new Lifescan <br /> machine. I would, also, like to ask that the former Social Services building <br /> <br /> · considered as temporary housing for my department."
