FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION § 9-59 <br /> <br />Sec. 9-47. Permits. <br /> No permit required by the SFPC which also requires an on-premises inspection by the fire <br />official shall be issued until a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) is paid. <br />(Ord. No. 93-1, 1-26-93) <br /> <br />Sec. 9-48. Dry cleaning establishments; fire suppression systems. <br /> Every dry cleaning room and dry dyeing room employing high and moderate hazard <br />solvents which are not protected by an automatic fire suppression system and constituting a <br />fire hazard shall be provided with an approved fire suppression system, if required by the fire <br />official. (Ord. No. 93-1, 1-26-93) <br /> <br />Sec. 9-49. Decorative material; definition. <br /> The definition of the term "decorative materials" as contained in said SFPC shall be <br />expanded to include all such materials as curtains, draperies, streamers, fabrics, cotton bat- <br />ting, straw, hay, vines, leaves, stalks, trees and moss used for decorative effect, including <br />surface coverings applied over interior finish materials for acoustical and decorative purposes. <br />All such decorative materials shall be noncombustible or they shall be flame resistant com- <br />plying with the requirement of the NFiPA 701 listed in Appendix A of the Model Code <br />incorporated into the SFPC. The term decorative materials shall not include ordinary window <br />shades or interior finish materials, such as wainscotting, paneling or wallpaper which are <br />regulated by the building code. Live Christmas trees may be used in churches if their use and <br />location is approved by the fire official. Christmas trees shall not be placed in aisles or areas <br />which are a means of egress from the building. <br />(Ord.
