AMUSEMENTS § 4-28 <br /> <br />Sec. 4-15. Operation during certain hours prohibited. <br /> It shall be unlawful for the operator of any public poolroom or billiard room to permit the <br />playing of pool or billiards therein between the hours of 11:30 p.m., and 6:00 a.m. or at any time <br />before 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. <br />(Code 1971, § 11-32) <br /> <br />Sec. 4-16. Exceptions from sections 4-14 and 4-15. <br /> The provisions of sections 4-14 and 4-15 shall not apply to a poolroom or billiard room <br />operated as a secondary use to a bowing establishment and as a part thereof and under the <br />same supervision. <br />(Code 1971, § 11-32) <br /> <br />Sec. 4-17. Minors prohibited; exceptions. <br /> (a) For the purposes of this section, the word "minor" shall mean any person under the age <br />of eighteen (18) years. <br /> (b) No operator of a poolroom or billiard room shall allow any minor to participate in any <br />game in the establishment or to loiter or lounge in, or frequent, the establishment, unless such <br />minor is accompanied by his parent or guardian or unless the operator has on file in the <br />establishment the signed written consent of either the parent or guardian of the minor <br />permitting the minor to frequent and play pool in the establishment. Such consent shall state <br />the name and address of the parent or guardian and the minor, setting forth the birth date of <br />the minor, the establishment to which the consent applies and any limitations on the consent, <br />and shall be made available by the operator of the establishment to any member of the police <br />department of the city at any time upon demand of the police officer. <br /> (c) a violation of any provision of this section shall constitute a Class 3 misdemeanor. <br /> (Code 1971, § 11-32) <br /> Cross reference~ Penalty for Class 3 misdemeanor, § 1-11. <br /> State law reference--Authority of city to regulate presence of minors in places of <br /> amusement, Code of Virginia, § 18.2-432. <br /> <br />Secs. 4-18 ~_-27.
