<br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />S 2-107 <br /> <br />n, <br /> <br />. ------' <br /> <br />ARTICLE VII. PLANNING COMMISSION* <br /> <br />Sec. 2-105. Cr~ated; composition; appointm~nt, etc., of members. <br /> <br />(a) There shall be a city planning commission, which shall consist of seven (7) members, <br />who shall be appointed by the city council. One member may be an administrative official of the <br />city, whose term of office as a member of the commissioll shall correspond to his official tenure, <br />unless otherwise terminated. One member of the commission may also be a member of the <br />board of zoning appeals, in wl:1ich event his term of office as a member of the planning <br />commis!;1ion shall expire with his term of office as a member of the board of zoning appeals, <br />unless. otherwise replaced. <br /> <br />(b) Members of the planning commISSIon shall be residents of the city qualified by <br />knPwledge and experience to make decisions on questions of community growth and develop- <br />ment. At least one~half of suchmemhers shall be freeholders. Except as otherwise specifically <br />provided in subsection (a) above, members of the COmmission shall hold no other municipal <br />office. <br /> <br />0, <br /> <br />(c) Members of the planning commission, other than the meIllber who is an administrative <br />official of the city and the member who is a member of the bpard of zoning appeals, shall be <br />appointed initially by lot for terms oftwo (2}and four (4) years, four (4) being appointed for two <br />(2) year terms and the remainder being appointed for four (4) year terms.
