March 14, 2000 <br /> <br />Consultation with legal counsel pertaining to actual litigation, <br />as authorized in Subsection 7. <br /> <br /> Council recessed at 8:20 P. M., and convened as the Martinsville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered the need to meet in Closed Session. <br /> <br />In accordance <br /> <br />with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon <br />motion by Authority Member Roop, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, <br />the Authority convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following <br /> <br />matter: <br /> <br /> A. Possible disposition of publicly-held real property, as authorized in <br /> Subsection 3. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of the Authority certified <br />that (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, the Authority took no action. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Authority during their <br />meeting, upon motion by Authority Member Dallas, duly seconded, by unanimous ~ote, <br />Chairman Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 9:11 P. M., and City CoUncil <br />reconvened. <br /> <br /> Each member of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt <br />from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2).only <br />those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were <br /> <br /> <br />
